Topic: How our eyes see color
July 24, 2019 / By Billy Question:
OK... I know it sounds crazy and/or weird... But I have noticed that my eyes change color... I like to look at the color of peoples eyes, Just because eye color seems to be very unique to an individual and to see if I can spot any cool contacts.
When I was little my eyes were blue. Around 8 years old they turned green. Then back to blue when I was around 13 or 14 years old.
A few years ago they were blue, dark blue(Mostly at the edges), but blue.
Then they started going green at the center.
Then it was streaked green through out my eye, Blue at the edges and green at the center, and streaks in between of both colors.
Then the center started to turn yellow/goldish, like a light amber.
Now the Amber color is streaked though my eye(Still encompassing the center). Leaving dark blue that stretches from the outside towards the center, and amber that reaches to the edges and green that streaks through the two.
My oldest neice does this too... Her eyes were one color last year and now they have changed.
Does this make any sense to anybody? Is there a condition- Maybe hereditary- that causes eye color to change? And if it exists... Whats it called?
I've done some research and found nothing outside eye color is subject to change with age. But its like more of a fading type thing that happens over a long period of time. Nothing like mine.
Where to download the manual how our eyes see color PDF? Thanks!
